It's been a while
I haven't been here for ages! I have been out shooting people though.
I recently finished a music video for Cilla Jane, which is launching later this month.
I am in Europe at the moment, shooting for ELEVEN.
I've finished a few films since last blog, and started a charity, for a home for homeless kids in South India

Shooting Matt Costa
In case you didn't notice I haven't been blogging on this one for a while, usually my old blog! But, I have been shooting people, most recently - Matt Costa!
I met him while shooting an interview for work. He broke in to a song - Genevieve. Twas nice! Sometimes when I introduce myself people say 'Oh, Genevieve, like the car.' But never has someone broke in to song, so, he was off to a good start...
and only got better!
He is young and full of great songs, lives in California and is signed to Brushfire Records.
He played to over 10,000 people on a chilly wet night at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and did a few duets with Jack Johnson. It's crazy that 10 days prior it was 40 degrees!
It's pretty uplifting seeing someone do exactly what they should be, I have this feeling when I see lots of musician friends, Eva, Nick, Jens ... the list goes on.
'Feeding time'
Check him out here too.

Eleven
I have found 2 new boys to interview for ELEVEN, Obey I met through a boxing club in the east end. Billy is chatty and lives in Angel. South of France next week to shoot more for Eleven.
Had a good time at Sheffield Doc Fest last weekend. The highlight was seeing We Are Together, am amazing film. Check out their website www.wearetogether.org
You can read about the film on the site.

If you click here you can listen to my fave song from the film, sung by am amazing 7 year old, who is now approaching 11, if you get my drift! I now have my heart set on going to South Africa to meet Mbali. Her song is number 2, Pigogo, you can only hear a sample but her spirit comes blasting out of the speakers! I love it! Going to buy the CD now.
Happy Day is also very cool, but even more fun when you see the kids singing it in the studio. Such amazing faces and voices! I want a copy of the film to watch over and over. Now thats the sign of a great film! Its also extremely sad. It is such an important film, and I hope it gets released widely in Australia.
